with developmental disabilities
Learning Objectives for the day include:
- Identify and understand the various sensory systems
- Describe the impact of sensory processing challenges in people with developmental disabilities
- Recognize the importance of sensory processing in everyday life
- Discuss basic sensory strategies for managing sensory processing issues
Guest Speakers:
Heather Bailey OT Reg (ON)
Heather Bailey is a Registered Occupational Therapist with more than 25 years of experience in developmental disabilities. She works at Central West Specialized Developmental Services as a member of the Dual Diagnosis Team for the Halton/Peel/Waterloo/Dufferin Wellington Regions as well as providing in-house support to the individuals that live at CWSCS.
