Workshop Description: The St. Clair Tri-County Staff Training & Development Committee is pleased to welcome back JUDITH WAHL, EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, Advocacy Centre for the Elderly.
Topics covered will include:
- Principles of consent to treatment
- Assessing capacity to make decisions
- How to manage disputes between decision makers
- The responsibility of care providers
Judith has an impressive background in Policy Development and Consultation. She is a graduate of Osgoode Law School and was called to the Bar in 1979.
Judith has been the ED at the Advocacy Centre for the Elderly since 1984. She is a consultant with the Erie St. Clair LHIN on Health Care Consent and Advance Care Planning. Judith is frequently asked to present at conferences including the International Conference on Law and Mental Health, Ontario Provincial Police College, McMas-ter Summer Institute, and the Ontario Network for the Prevention of Elder Abuse.
